Lee Bowman
As a multi-talented always creative person, Lee Bowman has a broad background in visual art, journalism, photography, commercial advertising and teaching. Professionally he has applied his many skills in a variety of positions, as a writer of several books, editor of magazines and books, photo journalist, professional in public relations and advertising and college professor of art. Since 1993 he has served as an instructor in the art departments of area community colleges and Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, teaching a variety of subjects including drawing, painting,
design, mixed media, media graphics, desktop publishing, and art history. Lee holds a masters degree in painting from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, a graduate degree in theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a degree in English from William Jewell College. An active practicing artist, Lee is a board member of the Arlington Museum of Art and Arlington Visual Art Association, and is active in the Ft. Worth Society of Watercolor Artists (Signature Status) and Christians in the Visual Arts. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Lee has lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 1976. Lee is married to Carol, who also has artwork displayed in the Portfolio section of this site. Lee and Carol have three grown children.
